Keystone Sportsmen for Youth, Inc.

Welcome to Keystone Sportsmen for Youth!

Organized in 1992 to "promote the educational and instructional expansion of youth to recreational activities and preservation of natural resources, and further promote and provide instruction and education of youth in the area of firearms, fishing, hunting and archery and further instill in youth an appreciation and preservation of natural resources of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" (KSY Bylaws).

Each year we organize a youth field day that is hosted by a Blair County sportsmen club.  The first youth field day in 1993, was hosted by Blair County Game, Fish & Forestry in Riggles Gap. Other hosts have been Hollidaysburg Sportsmen Club, Bellwood Sportsmen club and in 2009 Tyrone Sportsmen club. We are a non profit, 501(c)(3) corporation.

A field day is usually set up with 12 stations. Stations may consist of Air Rifle, Archery, .22 rifle, muzzleloader, turkey calling, fishing, fly tying, trap shooting and more. Kids between the ages of 6 to 16 are invited to participate. They are divided into groups, moving from station to station every 1/2 hour with lots of hands-on opportunities! Lunch is provided for all participants and their parents. Pre-registration is required.
